Moab
I thought Moab was a place to stay close to Arches and Canyonlands. Oh, was I wrong? It is an experience all on its own. This bustling town is the temporary and permanent home to the largest collection of Jeeps and off-road vehicles I have ever seen.
So many small, locally owned businesses make this Nerdy Nomad at home. From Back of Beyond Books to Arches Trading Post, if you don’t find something you like, you picked the wrong place to stay.
And food, oh, there was so much food. You must visit Food Truck Park right off Main Street. I had the most amazing Raspberry Pistachio Crepes. And all the great local pizza places left my pizza-loving Partner Jay having a hard time picking. We ended up trekking across town to Moab Canyon Pizza Co. So worth the walk, even after 8 hours in Arches National Park.
